Get F.I.T
F.I.T. – FIT factors that are in your control:
*Frequency, *Intensity, *Time
Are you seeing the results you would like from your Stroller Strides classes? Have you made some physiological gains but now have experienced a plateau? There are some factors that are within your control when it comes to seeing physical gains. Within the acronym F.I.T are ways you can take charge of your results…Frequency, Intensity and Time!

Frequency - How often are you going to class or getting workouts in? Adding another day may be the jump start you need to make those changes. If Stroller Strides classes are not an option as the extra day, add in a walking workout on another day.

Intensity - Are you giving it all you’ve got in your Stroller Strides workouts? It is easy to get complacent and “cruise” through class sometimes. Digging deep and giving that little extra push in each exercise will move you into a new level of fitness, as well.

Time - Your Stroller Strides class is your hour…the rest of the day tends to belong to your children. Are you making the most of that time and giving it all you’ve got? The time frame of your Stroller Strides classes are set, but the frequency and intensity of your workouts are variables you CAN CONTROL!

GO FOR IT!!

Ready 2 Run Program Started Yesterday

So, yesterday was the start of our new Ready 2 Run Program. We all met at Sunnyvale Town Center Park at 8pm for our warm-up, 15 minute run, and cool-down. It was so fantastic to have such great gals to start this program with! I had so much fun! Our next scheduled run with the group is this Sunday and I already cannot wait.

All this running and training makes me realize I want so badly to run the Half Marathon at White Rock Lake in December. I NEED to get ready for it! :)

So, tomorrow we were all headed to the Dallas Arboretum for a playdate, but it seems to be getting too hot. Lacy has been kind enough to allow us to crash her pad and have a playdate there tomorrow after class. Yea! We will have so much fun! I am really looking forward to it!

Well, I am waiting on my rugrats to finish lunch and then go down for a nap. Then, I get to clean....oh the joys of motherhood! Staying at home with my children is NOT...I repeat NOT an easy job! Although, I would not trade my life now for the world!

Maybe I can get a run in tonight after baths...hmmmm. I guess we will see! :)

First day to blog...EVER!

My name is Lindsay McAlester. I am the owner and instructor for my own franchise of Stroller Strides in Mesquite, Forney, and Rockwall area. I love SS and all it has to offer, so I figured I had so much to say......I could just say it here! I hope you all enjoy! :)

Today we had class in Sunnyvale at Town Center Park at 9am - 10am. I had a great time! As usual! It was a little warmer today than it has been, but it is officially Summer here in Texas! I do not know what it is about Summer......I love it! I know most people cannot wait for the Fall and despise of the heat we have here. I was born and raised here, so I am partial! What can I say?!

We had a playdate today at Harry Myers Splash Park in Rockwall at 10:45am. My kids had a blast! Thank you to Alicia form Luna Moms Club for providing popsicles! Yum! I am looking forward to Thursday, June 25th...There is a Mom's Night Out scheduled for 5:30pm. We are having a Martini Cruise on Lake Ray Hubbard! Yea!

I am also excited about having another playdate this week with all the cool Moms and kids! We are heading to the Dallas Arboretum on Friday, June 26th. Thanks to Lacy and her awesome membership....5 moms will get in FREE! Paying only for $5 for parking. What a steal! I think the kids will really enjoy their fountain area!

I moved my SS classes from indoors at Town East Mall on Tuesday's and Thursday's to outdoors at Sunnyvale Town Center Park from 8:30am - 9:30am. We should be able to beat some of the heat!

I am very excited to announce that I have started a new program called Ready 2 Run for SS of Mesquite, Forney, and Rockwall. The class is designed for the beginner and to accomplish a 5K run (3.1 miles). You'll learn about running form, injury prevention, increasing speed and distance, and choosing the right shoe. How fun... right?!

Lastly, I found out last week that I will be able to hold a Grand Opening in Rockwall at Harry Myers Park on September 1st! I am elated to have the opportunity to partner up with the City of Rockwall's Park and Recreation and bring Stroller Strides to their area!

I am loving my Stroller Strides life! :)
